Herbed Sourdough Dinner Rolls

400°F

8" Dutch oven

  • 2 cups sourdough starter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick's Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Mix all ingredients together, except olive oil. Knead dough until stiff. Form dinner rolls by flattening dough to about ¾ inch thick and cutting out with a 1 inch biscuit cutter. Place 12 rolls in greased Dutch oven and let rise for about 45 minutes or until the dough is doubled in size.

Brush tops of rolls lightly with olive oil and bake for 20 minutes.
