Apple Crisp

350°F

12” Dutch oven

Apple Mixture:

  • 10 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup golden raisins

In a large bowl mix together above ingredients. Pour into greased Dutch oven.

Topping:
  • 1½ cups brown sugar
  • 1½ cups oats
  • 1¼ cups flour
  • ¾ cups butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon each of cinnamon and nutmeg

In a medium bowl mix together topping ingredients. Spread topping over apples mixture.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until apples are soft.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
